Flowers in Concrete

Somewhere amidst destruction,
you'll find yourself amongst the rubble.
Like a diamond, we are shaped from pressure.
Our souls are flowers in concrete.

Allow yourself the inevitable troubles,
for they are blessings in disguise.
Dark nights are full of wonder,
revealing stars before the sunrise.

Truth is but seen in the blinding darkness,
and in that inch before the fall.
Embrace the struggle of self discovery,
for only when flowers reach,
and breach,
do they ever stand truly tall.
