This Room Seems So Familiar
This room seems so familiar.
I once lived here.
Shadows lurk in the corners...
They didn't used to.
I remember a breeze...
It used to blow at the curtains.
I thought it was your soul but that seems childish now.
The tree’s used to stand so tall.
They used to cover the sun but now they’re dead.
Do you remember how it used to be?
The moon hums a tune that only I can hear…
I know it’s there; it’s tune so dear.
I remember kneeling at my bedside.
I couldn’t hear him but I knew he was there…
I knew he was there…I wished he was there.
He let me down…
I should have known it was all a lie.
I'm good at the whole being out of touch with reality thing.
I wish I wasn't so blind...
In the distance I can see the mountains; they look so free.
The stars used to dance along the peaks and the moon would hum it's melody...
The beat rocked me to sleep.
It meant so much to me...
