Twist of Fate
Close your eyes
and listen to my words.
Find that something that lies,
deep in your beautiful world.
Close your eyes,
and feel my hand in yours.
Hold onto that something that lives,
deep in your beautiful world.
Feel my fingers in your hair,
and listen to this soothing tone.
Hold onto that someone and care,
deep in your beautiful world.
Feel my lips on yours,
and forget your troubles.
Hold onto that someone without a care,
deep in your beautiful world.
Listen to his words,
every syllable.
Hold onto the truth he speaks
deep in my fragmented world.
Listen to his words,
as he talks me off the ledge.
Hold onto the truth he speaks,
deep in my fragmented world.
Feel my arms around you,
as my tears start to fall.
Happiness and anger,
consumes me all.
Feel my sighs of relief,
as I look into your eyes.
Happiness and anger,
battling the lies.
Listen to his words,
that saved my life.
As I question,
where he’s been all my life.
Listen to his words,
those three simple things.
As he says them again,
and turns the color of my cheeks.
They both embrace,
in harmony.
As tears fall down their face,
blissfully.
They both embrace,
peacefully.
For they know they need each other,
until they die gracefully.
We are but strangers,
now bound together by fate,
She was about to jump,
and it just so happened that I was late.
Our minds think alike,
but traffic changed my mind,
A broken light saved a broken girl,
who then became my wife.
and listen to my words.
