Fictional Relationships

Let us learn together, this might be how it's done;
Can you take this scene? I could gawk for everyone;
I'm reading, I'm writing, taking notes to make sure,
Without a life to lean on, I'll never be that pure.

These fictional relationships are not really what I want.
Now I'm starting to realize, it's me, they want to haunt;
They can see me with their eyes, hear my private thought;
Tell me teacher, what comes next? I had never really sought!

So I'll learn your information, if it's something that is true,
Wish their words could disappear when it's only me and you.
When the image comes to me, their voice is all I hear;
The only thing I'm trying for is something that's sincere.

Make her nightmares go away, I'm not a child anymore;
Want to roam around my head? I'll give you a guided tour!
Here is something simplified, here is something sound;
I hear them in the morning, and the night they come around.

Now what is it they're looking for, I've been afraid to ask!
There's just too much to do these days, I really have a task.
Try to keep alone, try to keep it to myself, can I push them away?
I'd share anything they need, but they don't care for what I say!

Do you think we really want the past that was never meant to be?
You would have to be a dumb one, because this really isn't free!
I think go back to school or talk to a tainted, innocent mind,
We do not want to hurt anyone, there are those of us that are kind.

When sensationalism astounds you and your blindsided to the cause,
Perhaps you should take a break and just try to go with a pause;
If this ever happens, I'll tell this to you clearly, please don't shun;
If you've had a past that's difficult you don't want to share it with "anyone"!
