Sacred Sex

Starting around 4,000 years ago(?)
And continuing up til about 2,000 years ago,
There was "Temple Prostitution."
At the temple of the Goddess Diana,
(And at the temples of other Gods, Goddesses),
You could have "sacred sex" with the Goddess -
In the form of her surrogate, the priestess.

In Christianity we unite as "the body of Christ",
Meaning the union of Christ and the Church,
Two bodies becoming "one flesh"(Matthew 19.5).
Together they make up
the compound "Body of Christ"(Ephesians 1.22-23) -
Two bodies becoming "one flesh."

In a union of pleasure and joy,
Spiritual "sacred sex",
For "Christ in you, the hope of glory"(Colossians 1.27),
Means Christ INSIDE you, producing ecstasy.
For we read,
"In Your presence is fullness of joy...
Pleasures forever"(Psalms 16.11).

This is true sacred sex,
Of which the pagan version is only a crude imitation.

PS: An additional point is that the Body of Christ
doesn't just mean the Church,
Like people think!
It means the Church and Christ
united as a single whole,"one flesh,"
 - a compound body - !

The Church as the vessel of Christ =
Christ is inside the Church,
Filling it,
For that's what vessels are for: filling with fluid.
Husband-inside-wife conveys a picture of what?
Intercourse, of course!
An intercourse without end,
Eternity as a single moment
That goes on and on,
Transcending the passage of time!
