Through The Eyes of A Self-Harmer
It's an addiction,
The pain makes everything seem less real for the moment.
And a sudden Euphoria takes over me,
I feel as though I can tackle anything.
Slice after slice,
Cut after cut.
The numbing tingling sensation,
Feeling the satisfaction of release.
The Euphoria coming on in waves with each cut,
Making my head swim with a drug-like high,
As though I'm floating on cloud nine.
Laying back with a smile on my face,
As the razor blade dripping with crimson blood.
It comes on too fast,
And then it fades.
Slowly bringing me back to reality.
