I don't know what to do, I felt that the readers wouldn't get it using google translate, and I didn't want my work to not be appreciated properly...
What would you suggest? Was my translation not well enough, you think?

I don't speak German fluently, so I relay on an online translator. post your poem in the original German & then in English right below it. if there are other English words that might clarify your intent, it's okay to make those edits. for example, 'immolate' also means 'to burn.

there's no need to explain it as if you were adding footnotes to an essay in school, readers will get some understanding of your poem. it's a good idea to comment on the work of other members, it will encourage them to read your poetry. I hope all this helps...

I am new to sharing my work... only four of my poems have seen the light of day before, and I am hoping this site does not crush what little confidence I had so far as my work in concerned. :) However, should that confidence not have grounds, it should be crushed. ^-^'
Though I must ask, what sort of comments would be 'appropriate' for a "new comer" to make?
As far as the word "immolate", I would gladly use it in the translation had it not sacrificial implications. That was not what I wished to get across in this case. However, thank you for the new word! I love expanding my vocabulary.
