No air
Broke down and breathed today
Arched my back way out
took a big gulp
inhaled
Held on tight
until my lungs felt like they where about to burst
then I let go
Felt good
for the moment
but my body still craved the inhale
the pounding in my chest
nausea swirling
the hold , wait
feeling of death knocking at my door
I never felt more alive in that one minute and two seconds

Is this about smoking a cigarette? Cause this is exactly how I feel when smoking, its like damn it could kill me, but damn its sure nice lol Nice write!

Yeah it is lol! I tried quitting and It didn't work so this is the outcome . Not one of my fav writes actually I hate it but I won't erase my mistakes lol. Ty theo

I knew it, I don't blame you I thought about deleting about 90% of my poems, but I though nah, no erasing mistakes. Which would you say is your best write?

I would say waiting on the rain! It's my fav of mine . It's the only one I still tweak here and there.
