A Love Triangle {Chapter 12, The Final Chapter}

The next day Raquel laid in bed still naked as her brown curls laid carelessly on her pillow as her white satin blankets covered her back.
She woke up as she opened up her eyes and sat up while covering her bare chest with the blanket as she noticed that Michael wasn't in bed with her.
She looked around thinking Michael left till Michael walked in through the room shirtless, but wearing his pants as he brought her breakfast in bed.
He made her scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, and french toast with syrup on it.
Raquel, smiled as she said " I thought you left..."
Michael giggled a little and said " no I just woke up and made you some breakfast..." He said with a gentle smile.
Raquel took a bite out of her bacon and sausage as she looked at Michael then asked " Aren't you gonna eat?..."
Michael just shrugged and said " uh I'll just have a bite of this..." He said while eating some of her french toast.
Michael was a strict vegetarian, but he learned how to cook meat by his mother since he was very close to her unlike his father who was mean to him and was harsh on him and seemed unpleased with whatever Michael did.
Michael, joined the force several years ago mainly to please his father career wise.
Raquel also didn't have a close relationship with her father, but she also didn't have that good of a relationship with her mother either for she was judgemental and harsh on her and seemed like she was never satisfied with whatever she did.
Raquel watched Michael eat her french toast as she stared at him and smiled as Michael noticed her staring as he held her gaze and smiled while asking her softly and innocently " what? Why are you staring at me?" While giggling she smiled big and said " because you're just so...perfect..." Michael blushed as he bit his bottom lip and said " girl, if anything you're the perfect one..." Raquel laughed as she said " really? How so?" Michael then said " you're smart, you're beautiful, you're tough, and you're the best partner I've ever had"  Raquel smiled while biting into her French toast then kisses Michael's lips as her hands were on his face as he let his tounge slip in and out of her mouth then licking her upper lip slightly as he kissed it as she moaned while he pulled the cover down exposing her bare chest. Raquel, smiled as she fell back giggling as he got on top of her kissing and sucking on her neck then just as he was about to slip his hand under the cover to her womanhood the phone rang which interrupted them and made them stop.
Raquel, hit the bed and yelled " UGH! why now!!?" She said as she sat up while Michael laughed as he watched her pick up the phone and answer it and on the other line was Tevin. On the phone Raquel said " Hello?..hi Tevin!...I'm good...right now?!..oh no! I can't wait to see you!!... Uh no I'm happy!...ok love you too!" Raquel slammed the phone down as she yelled " SHIT!!!" she said while running out of the bed still butt naked as she threw on her white, fluffy robe as Michael looked at her confused and asked her " Raquel what's wrong?!" Raquel didn't answer as she made Michael get off the bed as she took of the sheets and blankets as she ran quickly down the stairs while Michael followed her as he asked again " Raquel! What's wrong!?!" Raquel then turned around and snapped and said " TEVIN IS ON HIS WAY HOME RIGHT NOW!!" Michael's eyes widened as he heard her say that. Raquel, made her way to the washing machine as she threw the blankets and sheets in there and turned it on as it was washing as Michael was coming down the stairs buttoning up his shirt and putting on his shirt.  
As Raquel was passing by the window she noticed Tevin's car about to pull in as she yelled " SHIT HE'S HOME!!!" Raquel tried think fast then looked upstairs as she said " hide in the closet! now! GO!" She said to Michael as she pushed him upstairs and pushed him in the closet and since it was big he was able to sit in it as Raquel ran back down the stairs until Tevin walked in through the door so Raquel walked down more calmly and smoothly as she smiled and said " hey baby..." She said as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him and hugged him then let's go as she asked " so how was it with your parents?"
Tevin gave her a weak, tired look and said " stressful as ever and I am tired...I'm going to take a nap..." He said while heading upstairs, but Raquel stopped him and said " no! You can't sleep in bed I'm washing our blankets right now so you'll have to wait..." Tevin then sighed and said " ok I'll just sleep on the couch then..." He said while laying down on the couch as he fell asleep.
An hour passed as Raquel figured now was a good time to get Michael out of the close so since Tevin was a deep sleeper she didn't worry about waking him up.
Raquel, ran up the stairs and got Michael out of the closet as they came their way down the stairs Michael then asked " so when can I see you again?" Raquel then turned to him and said " Michael are you serious?!, do you really want to go through this? Sneaking to see me or me hiding you?..." Michael stayed silent then Raquel said " Michael i can't keep doing this to Tevin!" Michael then yelled " well why did you say you love me then?!" Raquel then yelled " because I meant it! But I love Tevin and I can't have him get hurt because of this..." Raquel then paused and said " Michael just go..." Michael then said " Raquel, please d--" but Raquel cuts him off and says " Just go! Go! Get out!" Michael looked at her with watery eyes as he nodded and walked down the rest of the steps then out the door and left and as he left Raquel ran up the stairs and cried.
The next day Michael came into the police station without Raquel which he thought was odd, but didn't question it because he really didn't feel like seeing her after what happened.
He went straight to his desk since he had temporary desk duty as he took off his coat and put it around the chair and sat down on his chair as he logged on to his computer then officer Murphy came up to Michael as he said " good morning officer Johnson..." He said while sipping on his coffee as Michael gave him a weak smile and said " oh good morning officer Murphy..." Officer Murphy's smile went to a frown as he noticed he wasn't too happy as he asked " Michael what's wrong? Are you upset about what happened?..." Michael looked at him confused as he asked " upset about what? What happened?..." Officer Murphy looked confused and asked " well didn't you hear?..." Michael looked puzzled as he asked " heard about about what?...." Officer Murphy hesitated to say, but then he said " Officer Jackson...she quit.." Michael's eyes widen as he felt in pain inside as he said softly " she...she what?" Then officer Murphy said again " she quit, she turned in her gun and badge this morning..." Michael then said calmly " did she say why?..." Officer Murphy then said " I don't know you ask the captain she probably told him..." He said as he walked off to his desk.
Michael sighed as he got up and walked into the captain's office as the captain motioned him to sit down in the chair in front of his desk so Michael sat down on the chair as the captain asked " what do you want officer Johnson?" Michael then said " why didn't you tell me officer Jackson quit?!" The captain stayed silent, but then said " because I knew you'd react like this...you two were so close and I just didn't know how in the hell to tell you" Michael then said " well didn't you try to convince her to stay?" The captain nodded and said " yeah I tried, but she didn't want to hear it and just told me when we were talking on the phone that she'd return her gun and badge...now Michael I'm not happy about it either along with you she was one of my best cops in this precinct and I knew that you guys were like best friends than partners, but Michael it's out of my hands so there's nothing I can do" Michael nodded as he felt upset as he got up, but before he was about to leave he asked the Captain " did she even say why she was quitting?" the captain shook his head and said " no, she just said it was a personal problem and she didn't want me to pry in it so I just left it alone" Michael then looked down and walked out of the captain's office and sat at his desk with his head downward with hands covering his eyes rubbing them as he tried so hard not to cry.
He just couldn't believe that it had to end like this between them, he just wished she could've stayed, he really loved her so much.
Meanwhile at Raquel's home she sat in the living room with the lighting dim, Toni Braxton's "Unbreak my heart" playing loud on the stereos as she was sitting on the couch with a glass of red wine in her hand as tears were streaming down her cheeks as she cried along with the song feeling so heart broken yet heart less for doing that to Michael. She really loved him and almost everything around her reminded her of him even as she sipped her wine and looked at the glass it reminded her of the time they went to that beautiful resturant and went outside under the moonlight where Michael gave her that red rose and said she looked beautiful, that was also the same night they first made love so passionately.
That moment kept replaying over and over in her head as she felt her heart shatter into tiny pieces for she felt so sorry it had to be this way.
She sat there on that couch and sipped her wine as she whispered softly to herself " Michael...I'm sorry...".
Three months went by as it was now one more day away from Raquel and Tevin's wedding date. This made Michael bitter since everyone including the captain got an invitation to their wedding except for Michael.
Michael sat at his desk mad as he kept over hearing his co-workers talking about how they can't wait to see Raquel get married, curious to meet her soon to be husband etc. He thought in his head " why the hell didn't she send me a damn invitation?! After all we've been through and she invites everyone except me?! Well forget her!" Michael sighs while still having bitter-sweet memories about her.
He still loved her and he wished that it wasn't like this between them.
Michael typed up a report for a screw up he did on the job since he didn't have Raquel as his partner he had to work alone and it made him feel out of place.
Hours went by and it was now 8:30 PM as he had to deal with three desk appearances, file a report and look into files for an investigation. Michael, was exhausted so he decided to take a break as he got up from his desk and grabbed his coat and went out the door as he walked to the local bar which was a known cop bar hang out since it was close to the station.
Michael sat the bar as he drank vodka on the rocks then as he finished his drink he asked for another one so bar tender poured him one, but could tell he wasn't doing too good. The bar tender knew all of the cops so he knew Michael since he first came to LA. The bar tender was drying a shot glass as he noticed Michael staring at his drink with watery, sad eyes so the bar tender asks " Michael, are you ok you look upset?"
Michael nodded while looking downward then the bar tender said " are you sure?,you look upset..." Michael sniffled and downed his vodka and said " Jack, I'm fine! Really! " the bar tender gave him a skeptical look as he said " well Michael whatever that's been troubling you understand that every problem can have a solution..." He said as Michael nodded at him while the bar tender went on the other side of the bar to get people's drinks.
Michael, just thought about Raquel and how much he cared about her, he really missed her and wished it was him not Tevin marrying her.
Michael, rolled his eyes and took another sip of his vodka then he motioned for Jack, the bar tender to give him another drink.
An hour passed and Michael was done drinking so he went back to the station as he sat at his desk as he was on his computer looking over at some stuff that was related to his investigation, he then saw something that really shocked him it was a picture of someone he knew and he just couldn't believe it so he printed the picture and took the case files with him and went home.
The next day, it was officially Raquel and Tevin's wedding day.
Tevin, was at his parent's getting ready as Raquel was at her house with her mother and sister and brides maids helping her get ready.
Raquel, put on her strapless, white sequined dress with her 4 inch white glittery heels to match as she sat down in front of her bedroom mirror as her sister did her hair half up and half down and very curly then puts on her diamond clip on earrings as her mother put on some nude lipstick on her lips, pink/red eye shadow with thin black eyeliner and mascara.
Her mother and sister smile at her as her mother says " baby, you look so beautiful!" Raquel smiled and said " gracias mommy..." Then her sister says " Tevin sure is a lucky man..." Raquel smiles and says " gracias" they both hug her as they leave her alone in her bedroom as she looks in the mirror and thinks about Michael and feels pain as she didn't know how she could go through this, but is deciding to do it anyways.
She puts on her veil as a tear trickles down her cheek she sighs as her sister yelled " Raquel! Come on! We gotta go!!!" Raquel quickly wipes her tear away and yells " COMING!" She picks up her gown and quickly walks down the stairs and gets in the car and drive off to the church.
While at church Raquel was in the room saying a little prayer to herself as she prayed to go through with the wedding. Her mother, sister, and brides maids were in the bathroom applying make up on. Raquel, sighed and said to herself " you will be a married woman....a happily married woman, a happily married woman..." She said as she gave a weak smile then just before she could sit in a moment of silence her mother came back in and said " baby, we're about to start" Raquel nodded as her mother said " ok, knock em dead baby..." She said with a smile then left as Raquel held a bouquet of red roses and pulled down her veil and exhaled sharply as she went out the room and waited for the brides maids to go down the aisle then she came slowly as her father was walking with her as he was giving her away then hugged her and sat down with her mother. Raquel and Tevin stood together as Tevin lifted up her veil while looking into her eyes and smiling as the priest stood in front of them smiling as he said " we gather here today to join these two in holy matrimony now the couple would like to say their vows..."  Tevin and Raquel looked each other in the eyes as Tevin went first and said " Raquel, you are my heart and soul and I love you so much. I believe that destiny will be good to us and I vow to take care of you and treasure you..." Raquel felt pain inside as she had watery eyes and held his hands as she said " Tevin, I--" then suddenly she was interrupted as someone barged through the church doors yelling " I OBJECT! DON'T DO IT!!!" Raquel, was confused at first as she turned her head as she saw Michael running in then stops as he said breathlessly " I-I...Object!..." Tevin then turned to Raquel with a confused look as Raquel looked embaressed, but mad and said " Michael! Why are you here?!!" Michael then said " Raquel, I love you! I don't want to lose you...Raquel please don't marry him, I could give you more than he has to offer you..." Raquel then said " Michael, there's nothing more you can do!..." Michael then yells " Raquel, this man is a fraud!..." Raquel then looked at him with anger and said " what?..." Michael then said " yeah! Your man is a fraud! He's not even really rich! Him and his family have been making schemes with money for years! He was going to marry you to stay under the radar!!" Raquel then turned to Tevin and asked " is that true, Tevin?..." Tevin then yelled and said " of course not! He's lying! Come on Raquel who are you gonna believe me or this idiot!" Michael then yelled " hey who are you calling an idiot!?! I'm not the one that left a trace of many stolen credit cards and finger prints as resturants which you were at!"
Then Michael turned to Raquel and said " and that's not all of what I found! He has been known as Tom Whitman, Alex Miles, and Tevin Lane!" Raquel then turned to Tevin and asked him again " Tevin, is this true?!" Tevin then said " don't believe him I'm innocent! " Michael then said " and here's another thing that I found out he has fathered five children here in LA and four more in New York..." Raquel almost fainted from shock as she held her stomach and said " children?..." Michael then yelled " yeah! He has paid them all off and according to them he has never even seen his kids..." Raquel felt betrayed as she said to Tevin " Tevin...is this true!?" Tevin nodded and said " yeah but baby they don't mean nothing to me! I love only you those women and kids don't mean a thing to me!...baby please forgive me...." Raquel stood in shock then looks up at him and punches him in the nose and knocked him out as he fell on the floor with a bloody nose. Raquel, then kicked him between his legs and threw her engagement ring at his face then turned to Michael and asked " well aren't you gonna arrest him?" Michael nodded as he stepped up further to her and said " yeah....after this..." Michael then held her waist and kisses her lips passionately while dipping her back as her fingers were running through his hair as he stopped while still holding her as she smiled as Michael said softly " I love you..." Raquel smiled and said " I love you too..." They kissed again as they stopped then Michael arrested Tevin.
A year later, Raquel got her job back and moved in with Michael and married him.
Tevin ended up getting life in prision; Michael and Raquel got what they wanted, to love each other freely and lived a happily married life.
