SEDUCTIVE PATH

He led me up seduction’s path
Via a sensuous shared bath;
The feel of his upon my skin
Stirred up the fire of carnal sin.

Utterly morally misled,
I gave myself to him in bed.
Lovemaking never felt so sweet
As underneath that satin sheet.

After that night spent in lust’s power,
We joined again, in the shower,
Washed ourselves, to sight and smell, clean,
As if last night had never been.

He kissed me, dressing-gowned, goodbye,
In return for a squeeze of thigh,
For I so longed for the next time
When on each other we would climb.

Except the next time never came;
He ditched, and now I’m left in shame.
His professed love had me deceived,
What if a child I have conceived?
