Lady Muse, I have a couple of friends who have been subjected to the perversity of sadists who cruise websites.  They tried to trust and take risks in decent faith, but came out hurt and struggling to regain some level of confidence.  The stronger ones manage to do so.  "Piercing" is not only about internet websites.  I've seen this here and there through most of my life.  It's just that the potential for anonymity is greater on the internet and can be particularly dangerous.  Predators or just thoughtless people can inflict damage (through negligence or intent), betray confidences, then hide, changing their user names or simply dropping off the grid and possibly staying off it until the heat dies down and then they return.  I hope this makes sense.  Sir Crow

Yes it does completely...I know exactly how it feels to be feel vulnerable and threatened this.

i have seen women do this too or encourage the public displays of drama by not blocking/reporting & then playing the victim to garner sympathy...
... either way, cyber stalking, bullying etc is a new form of low too many fall victim to.

Thanks, shadoe.  It's obviously a disturbing topic and a complex one, and I'm not sure I've considered this with a clear head.  I can only really speak for myself and a few friends, if that.  I think it was worth a try.

Fucking passive aggressive cowards love stirring shit and running. Equal effort put towards garnering an uplifting reaction would cure the emotional blockage that oft drives trolls to flex their heckler muscles. Fuck em. Callouts are stronger than fallout and everyone has target points.
