Infuriating this charged state
Pent-up corralled red taped
To a bed post
Feathered and tarred
Sticky evidence
Of my crimes against conception

Labile in my clambering
Of this insatiable caldera
To throw myself off its edge
In daily sacrifice
Oh hourglass form

Porcelain golden syrup stained ebon
I glory in all of your incarnations
Prostrate in abject exudate
My offerings chalky legacy
Writ in creamy nimbus

Surplus in my penance
When my prayers are answered
Sheathed in your warm forgiveness
I proffer my tithe freely
And cry your name in exultance
