Strong

And there we would pretend, on that warm engaging
afternoon, stepping out into the small courtyard, the
wooden table with it's annoying squeak if its pushed
to far; And there he is, strikingly handsome, but I care
not for it, because he's mine and he loves me beyond
anything else, as I do him, this to me means more, this
is why we pretend like this, him all in his finery, me
all in white as if I were about to say I do I do I do! to a
watching crowd, and I would, he knows; But the watching
crowd will have to watch another day.

Today's about pretending,
pretending what happens after the vows, after everyone's
gone home, just us two left, left alone to explore our love
on a deeper, more desirable level, feeling like I'm sacrificial
fodder, but it's how I feel, I expect and want to be taken by
him because my love is as his.

Strong.
