Here I lay , in deep thought about the pain I feel so deeply inside . it's hard to begin to speak on something so deep.
what is your perspective on LOVE ?
Mines is to feel Needed not Wanted . LOVE is to feel a Intense feeling of Deep Affection . To Genuinely care About that person and there well being and there feelings....
Something She never received from a man she Loved so Deeply ...
And in Return Hurt Her Like There Was Never Nothing There.
Now here she lay's In Tears . Broken.

Very sad but well expressed. Plus I like your perspective on love:"to feel needed not wanted". It's a simple philosophy but it captures what true love should be. Welcome to DU.

I don't write here as much as I should anymore, but I've come back recently, and it's really been a breath of fresh air in my life to read the work of others.
I agree that love has to do with feeling needed in some sense, but it's more about support. Even if I don't need someone to sit with me when my nights get hard, or other such loving gestures, it sure is nice. You might feel trapped, or intoxicated by someone, but the truth is that at the core, love is about building each other up, not breaking each other down. Whether or not you agree, you've got people who can relate here on DU, and the pain will pass. Keep writing, I look forward to more.
