"Reflection"
Strolling along the shore of this pristine lake, nature's mirror
Large, white clouds above, puffing their reflections below
Coasting along without a care, the puffs and I keep pace
Soaking in this most majestic, silent picture show
I cover a half mile, then another before sounds erupt behind a tree
The barking grey squirrel, "Squack-squack-squack" lets me know
He cares not for this intruder who trespasses through his turf
I smile, reflecting, he's not alarmed nor offended, just saying
"Hello"
