caught me up again my love
waiting for the sun to come up
remembering i love you
with such indifference

it was just enough to pull you in
but not enough to keep you
the almost days what we almost had
we were almost there
on the edge of a love affair
but holding on so tight to dignity
almost lovers without touching

the things we almost said
we could have loved instead
we had our chance and now it’s over
