Lenore at my door
So long away
Now back from night's shore
Has this to say:
"I know that you grieve
Given to weep
But I had to leave
Forever sleep
Find a new love
Enjoy while you can
I'll shine above
A star for my man."
I watch her depart
Drift off in the night
I waken my heart
'Neath Lenore's light.
