Blessed
Lift our neighbour’s load and ours will be lighter,
For sharing’s what we’re made to do.
Wash our neighbour’s feet and we become whiter,
Strangers are our neighbours too.
Blessed are those who live a life of kindness,
Who stop another’s hurt from from aching.
A kindly word or caring deed is timeless,
And may prevent a heart from breaking.
Blessed are those who help as much as possible,
With all their heart and soul and mind and strength,
Blessed are those who make their efforts optimal,
For others going greater lengths.
