KARMA
You think you had me
for a fool with your
well intended questions
and underlying pseudo
impressions
bowed like a cello
impersonating a maestro
falsely stringing my
heart to your
whims
orchestrating your
comings and goings
in perpetual chaos of
your lies, mocking
my emotions
crushing my tranquil bay
with your glorious deceits
pain cuts deep, bleeding
pure ink, burning karma
is a cold hearted bitch.

I thought the musical metaphor use is very well done; and I enjoyed reading and could relate to the words. I only wished you continued the use of the musical metaphor to the end.

Thank you so much Forever-Young, it's an honor to have you comment!
The music reference came as the girls from my dance class and I went to this cool jazz place after class the other evening and have been invited to see a New Orleans orchestra play tonight in Harlem.......It just had me keep music on the brain.
The ladies also had a debate on KARMA and who it would actually affect....the person who did wrong or the person they hold dear.
You have given me an idea about writing with more music metaphors and i thank you for that ;)

I'm so glad I've never experienced her, I guess because my heart is pure....but I have seen her in action.

Re: KARMA
I like the musical metaphor as well, reminds of a number of pictures along this line but with a more sensuously positive overtone than the poem suggests ...
... As for karma - don't believe in it personally but then again I'm like the only guy on the planet without Facebook.
My thing is if you're gonna make it happen then do it. Waiting on karma, fate or that knight on a horse ain't gonna happen ... make your finality your reality.
If there was karma then the evil would be punished and the good would prevail ... One doesn't have to look far in this world to know that's not true.
How was the Apollo last night ... Last time I was there was for a ballet. New Orleans jazz ... heard a great free impromptu concert in Central Park this past summer. I don't know about the cello thing - I played trumpet ... It's all in the fingers and lips.
It's a cool write LU ... I'm just not one to leave things to the unknown if it can be helped.

Well, This is a huge honor Mr. Lobo! Taking time to leave a comment on my work of thoughts with conviction
I'm sure you read my comment to the previous commentator that music can be relatable in so many ways. She actually wished I continued with the musical metaphor all the way til the end, just shows that interpretation is subjective and it's very important that as evolved human beings that we see outside of narrow tunnel vision.
Music is my source of sensual memories especially when I dance in class, private or in public......Music may also invoke memories that can remind us of lessons learned and mistakes branded.
As for Karma, I never heard of Karma making the "bad" turn "good" as more of a slap in the face, who are condescending enough to believe that the world evolves around them, they may soon find out they are a one man's island all on their own......Karma can always be there in the shadows and a person may actually be getting it, but he may not see it as such (narrow tunnel vision) ....cutting from one part of the cloth to patch the other side, does not constitute success, it just means he is delusional....lol
Don't know what you mean about a knight, a horse, finality, and reality comment, .......this poem is about players who will eventually rot in their own hell......but like you Mr. Lobo, I won't be around nor care to stick around because they want company in their own lonely misery......not ever really knowing what is genuine (maybe that's karma?).....this poem is ALL based on "girl talk" on an evening where the goal was to unwind after a hard rehearsal.
Yes, I love the ballet and try to go to as many shows as I can, Alvin Ailey shows are one of my favorite......I have seen a New Orleans orchestra play at Central Park near the water, it was perfect.
You played trumpet? Impressive.......my dad loved Latin/Jazz and Salsa, he played the congas....I played the cello (fine instrument), the violin (in the hands and wrist), and recently began the drums (nice and loud).
Thank you for leaving your personal thoughts on the subject and for your amusing feedback ; )

Sexy Lena.....what a great write.....how clever for you to relate to music.....awesome. As for Karma....I think it hurts the person who is left more.....cause the other usually leaves in silence and the devoted person never knows why or what they did wrong.....they just know the other is gone and doesn't understand.....so in the long run they take longer to heal cause they eventually realize that the other person didn't t respect them enough to talk it thru.....just throws the relationship or friendship away like trash....over a misunderstanding or over what someone else said or did. Sorry if I got carried away here....my answer is based on how a sacred person to me....treated me....made decisions and didn't care how it effected me. My heart is still very confused and emotional. Anyway.....very thought provoking write....LOL!! xo :)

Awww. my dear FLower.....
I am so sorry you have gone thru such hurt....in my opinion mami, if a person doesn't care to think about who you are as a person and is easily led or influenced by outsiders, then you don't need that anyway. It may hurt, but you are definitely better for walking away......they are followers and not leaders and I would stay away from friends like that......I've got some great quotes I can PM you to help ; )
Thank you so much for commenting....I'm glad what I wrote was thought provoking...lol

Oh, Ms Lena.
Yet another symphony of well orchestrated words.
Well done!
Do I believe in Karma? Unequivocally.
Should some disagree, I challenge them to look no further than nature itself. If you fail to believe, we reap what we sow, consider the following:
If we sow one tomato seed, do we reap just one tomato seed?
If we sow one kernel of corn, do we reap just one kernel of corn?
If we sow one acorn, it grows into a mighty Oak tree, do we reap just one acorn?
The harsh reality is this. We reap exceedingly more than we sow. And so it is, in life. Sow a small seed of good, reap a multitude of joy and opportunity. Sow a small seed of bad, reap a whirlwind of sadness and difficulty.
The magic is found in this simple truth. We each get to choose that which we shall sow.
