Sweet Little Things
Ladybugs mean no harm,
they are only there because
of the lovely roses that lay
hosting their supper; (aphids).
The ladybugs are gathered
on the windowsill today,
they were gathered
on the windowsill yesterday,
and they’ll do it again tomorrow;
I bet there's a million of them,
I must be the luckiest girl in the world,
for the sweet little things they are...
....... and they have joints.

I had always wondered how they suddenly appeared from nowhere. I caught one in the garden one evening and studied it; they are not the slow movers their namesake would imply. They are very vulnerable. They were brave enough to evolve out of their little snail shells, and so indeed that's very sweet of you. I can imagine them thinking throughout their evolvement: lets get naked and go to the kitchen..! :)
