Drowning
That's what it's like to fall in love with you.
I hold my breath, because I know that to inhale is to die.
But God, how I long to let the water fill my lungs.
Give my self away, and sink to the ocean floor.
But to love you is to court death.
I know how this story ends.
This script is all too familiar.
Fleeting happiness followed by eternal torment.
That is the promise of love.
