Mystery Sale

i sit uneasy on my bed,
confused thoughts racing in my head.
all is silent with the exception of the ceiling fan,
i would stop it if only i can.

i sit paralyzed on my bed,
only one tear from my eye is shed.
i see the hourglass on the nightstand,
at the bottom sits every grain of sand.

my time is up for the task i was assigned,
i couldnt finsh, it i felt like i was doing it blind.
theyre coming for me, i know they are.
i feel awfully weak i can not spar.

i feel strained and pained,
from this ordeal, nothing i have gained.
all i needed was guidence, one shining light,
to help me see in the pale darkness of night.

footsteps in the distance, i become paralyzed once more.
a cold chill down my spine as they stop at the door.
i hope the doornob does not slowly ease,
to the left or the right, please, please, please.

i glance at the the clock. 3:33
is this a nightmare? is this a dream?

The door violently swings open and breaks,
i am immediately given just as violent shakes.
a tall black figure stood before me, hands closed shut.
i feel i sharp sensation begin in my gut.

as the pain fills my body i see an item in its hand.
it is the hourglass that was filled with sand.
my vocal cords feel severed, i make no sounds at all,
i fall to the ground and try my best to crawl.

my face is at the same level as the figures hand to the right.
it holds a book, the fingers clenched tight.
on the cover is an acient language, origin unknown.
a picture of a beast with the numbers ..6..6..6.. was shown.

the figure flipped the hourglass and put it back on the stand.
it put up its hand and in the palm was a dark band.
the ring was placed on my finger, strangely a perfect fit.
the figure picked me up and placed me back on my bed to sit.

he speaks the ancient language but with the ring i understand
"he appreciates your alleigence. with his powers you will rule this land...."
