Oh well, just heard that George Clooney marries his fiancée in Venice on Monday and is celebrating from this weekend on with galleons of imported tequila. There will be a delegacy from Hollywood as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and mucho more. That's shitty. So Venice will be crowded and we hoped that with the end of September less tourists would be coming to town. There will be road barriers and whatnotall. I'm not amused :-(. NOT A BIT! What will be left of Venice to discover? Sigh ...

I think so. I talked to many people who had been to Venice some day and they were crazy about it. As I'm a hobby photographer I'll probably take pictures the whole time:-).

Sorry for the confusion. Just a reference to you taking off your mask. Is this correct in that it sounds like you are leaving us ?

Ok, furrowed brow easing....sadness lifting! Cool sounding vacation! Now I can just be envious instead of sad...a void trade, right! So what are you hanging around here for, get out there and get your gondola on! LOL!!!

I haven't been to Venice. They say it's a romantic city to visit but it's slowly slipping away. I hope it doesn't vanish before I get to see it. Have a great vacation Miss Chi.

Is there a quote saying something like "See Venice and die"? That's a crude translation from German and I know it's in no way adequate but is there anything similar in English? We'll see if Venice is really still romantic. There seem to be more tourists than Venice can bear ... Thanks for the good wishes, xmar82!!!

It's wonderful and inspiring , miss! Got to get back to it. A week is not long enough!
I hope it is! I've seen a Brunetti film by accident some day and was so fascinated by the old palazzos and the fragile bridges and the canales :-). So beautiful! So I booked a nice hotel and later informed my husband about our trip to Venice :-). I will certainly show some pics with my next poems!

Take care with your camera miss. Mine was sheared from my body in a great carnival crowd at the train station. Small town country boy wasn't accustomed to the mass of people there during carnival! ( all is good. Had 4 other cameras)
