I have to leave

I broke her hateful heart, that day.
I threw mine so far, I'd never find it.
The last week of inconsiderate indulgence
confused us both, but it's for the best.
However bitter, this may be.

Regardless of what you think,
this meant a lot to me.
I'd like to say that we can still speak,
your lips so sweet.
The places you take me, enlightening.
But within you, is where I frighten me.

To shine the brightest light in me,
I have to cut out, what's not conducive.
So return to your drooling buffoons,
the ones your used to.

They don't know who's shoes they defile.
Unappreciative, I know they won't respect your style.
I'll miss you tremendously, my thoughts clash
due to passionate compassion. But you're killing me slowly,
so I must leave, just not due to lack of attraction.
