Hidden Peace Found
Laying down
cheek pressed to cold sheets
she feels alone
shes no normal teen
by birth she was raised to be no more than an outcast
nothing but a freak
shes not allowed a life
caused by a person needing control
therefore only having a couple friends
one she's not allowed having because of their color
she's a wild child within a box unmarked by the racism of the way she was raised
she wishes to cut free
forced to settle with only the loving touch of smooth sharp metal
slicing pale skin
watching she bleeds with fascination
her life blood flows leaving trails a dark red down a slim wrist marked by past scars
she wont cut to deep
this is a secret she must keep
a slow burning
the bliss and the pain combining
watching red as it flows down small little rivers
a beauty the color is
the pain she wishes for it to drip away like this
blood of her yes it goes traveling down her long fingers falling on the sheets
lifeblood her own
she knows she should stop but mesmerized as she is in her own little world
she watches it fall like a small child
her eyes slowly close; shes content as she moans
sleep shall come now
tainted not by the darkness of her thoughts
dreamless she shall sleep
good night she whispers to white walls her hand touching that puddle of blood unaware
as she collapses
to find her hidden peace
