Prayer

Dear God, please let the ghosts in my head rest.
Allow me to forget the nightmare that is mine.

Let me close my eyes and see no more.
Allow my breath to cease its tourtured draw.

Let my body rest forever undisturbed.
So my soul can fly once again.

Let these things that give me unrest die,
So that I may live again.
