Maple flats
A strong wind blows
Bending the boughs
Of the mighty trees above
And when it snows
It falls from the sky
An instant blanket of deepest white
After the rain
The sun comes again
To dry the forest floor
And whether it's light
Or deepest night
I'll find Heaven by the ponds
There is water clean
From unpolluted stream
A spring back in the wood
With neither people nor cows
Pollution nor crowds
It's peaceful amongst the trees
Plants continuously growing anew
Animals show themselves unto you
These things happen in this place
Berries on vines
Water that shines
So peaceful by the shore
This place is my home
Even when I roam
In my heart I'm always there
Bending the boughs
Of the mighty trees above
And when it snows
It falls from the sky
An instant blanket of deepest white
After the rain
The sun comes again
To dry the forest floor
And whether it's light
Or deepest night
I'll find Heaven by the ponds
There is water clean
From unpolluted stream
A spring back in the wood
With neither people nor cows
Pollution nor crowds
It's peaceful amongst the trees
Plants continuously growing anew
Animals show themselves unto you
These things happen in this place
Berries on vines
Water that shines
So peaceful by the shore
This place is my home
Even when I roam
In my heart I'm always there
