Bleed Just To Know Your Alive
*a comp entry*
Things worth looking for
are certainly worth gaining
But i'm not looking for love or riches
I'm in search of some pain
I casually start with my arms
The usual place of my self harm
The tip of the blade digs deep
Alas no reaction not even a peep
The blood rolls down as I move on
Surely I must feel it in my legs
I run the blade over my thighs
But the stinging only subsides
The frustration is unbearable
Have i succumb to such numbness
That I no longer feel any pain?
This depression has beaten me
In a frivolous attempt i try my chest
Hoping it won't fail me like the rest
One slash cuts deep near my heart
the blood flows as i let out a howl
The numbness deflates from within
making me feel human once again
The demons dripping out with such fury
I begin to feel normal for once
There is such peace in feeling pain
The feeling can be so overwhelming
When you mutilate your outer body
To bleed just so you know your alive
Things worth looking for
are certainly worth gaining
But i'm not looking for love or riches
I'm in search of some pain
I casually start with my arms
The usual place of my self harm
The tip of the blade digs deep
Alas no reaction not even a peep
The blood rolls down as I move on
Surely I must feel it in my legs
I run the blade over my thighs
But the stinging only subsides
The frustration is unbearable
Have i succumb to such numbness
That I no longer feel any pain?
This depression has beaten me
In a frivolous attempt i try my chest
Hoping it won't fail me like the rest
One slash cuts deep near my heart
the blood flows as i let out a howl
The numbness deflates from within
making me feel human once again
The demons dripping out with such fury
I begin to feel normal for once
There is such peace in feeling pain

When you mutilate your outer body
To bleed just so you know your alive
