This reminds me of the paparazzi hiding in the weeds to get any shot, you the famous is trying to get away!
Your poetry is sophisticated and I think I don;t always get what your saying specifically but I always get my own interpretation and love it anyway!

Interesting read Soul reminds me of colours flashing when you close your eyes or being curled within yourself far from the madding crowd.

Exactly-and very akin to the paranoia caused by LSD...making You very aware of the public very aware of the self and attune to a rooms energy...this shakes the minds defense mode for want of camouflage-Thanks for the read Dear Grace!!!  

I heard about the LSD effects.  Must be scary though because there is always that need to embrace that cocoon and look at the world from within and not actually live it.

It can be that way for in society.
But in a natural setting (Woods,waterfalls etc) or controlled environment that breathes safety-such as a home...it was a very giving drug ....in the way of mind expansion and ways to think or look upon things...the simplest things would show the beauty of themselves.
Todays lsd is much different from days past....and scary.
the main reason for most visuals attuned to it was your pupils dilate and become big as saucers letting in all surrounding light.
imagine seeing in a forest of pitch black....never fearing to fall or stumble because all can be seen...I use to run as fast as I could through the forests at such times...weaving in and around the trees splashing in streams-Wrote a lot of fun music with friends too...sadly my body changed as I grew older-it no longer liked the effects of the drug...felt harsher...so my time with it was over...I miss it greatly (back then it was seasonal when You could get it...so one was very attune to the times of year/nature itself....it was like looking forward to vacation.

It takes great strength to remain oneself under so many eyes. Tighter and higher indeed, Soul.

Oh its so True Dear Atakti...society, self, responsibilities, actions...energy of and from people....they rarely recognize it's effect.

I force myself out when it becomes too much-and nature is Always a respite -but socials and such-that bitter pill I will never take.

it is said the light can be the best disinfectant but too much can be worse with long term exposure. (I am am excluding politics here)

I am struck that the abundance of activity in the first two paragraphs leads to indifference (the lack of activity)

Spotlights in any shape or form - to me-or on me....sends me to a dark corner quick!!!
Positive or negative..I've always hated it.
When I played out regularly, I would look for the exit right after...it took years of damage control to explain myself to fellow musicians, their first thought was arrogance.
...like a very bad acid trip.
I'm not as bad with it anymore, but sometimes it will hit me very hard.
