Noma(n’s lan)d
No, I am nothing. I am no one.
Where I live will not yield the clue,
nor will official documents.
Stop trying to shove me into the peg hole —
I’m plasma.
You can’t fathom me…
Perhaps I make you uncomfortable.
I don’t care.
I really don’t care how that irritates you.

Atakti, luv :-* ~
This poem. This poem. This poem.
Woman, I come back and read this and each time, it brings me to my knees. Differently.
I love this poem. It reeks of self-possession and self-containment. Self-respect and dignity even while stating what seems in direct opposition to that.
I have to go back and read all your poems...

There's such a subtle mask on this, but it seems you see behind it.
Thank you, Sav.

An escape into the non existence is what this poem felt like....

This poem is not just a personal perspective. In the back of my mind, I was thinking of refugees also.
Which fits perfectly with your comment!

A Nomad in no mans land. Makes me think of my mind more than my body.
I like it that people leave me alone on the most part.
This piece makes me think of those things.. Great work Atakti.

Not fitting in - freedom and that scares people. How dare you be comfortable without a pigeonhole?..
I had to learn early how not to have an identity crutch. Sounds like you have too.
Thanks, M.

Nothing's more aggressive than passive - ask Ghandhi - Atakti attacks - great last line

Lol, I don't know about attack, but isn't the best revenge to live well?
That means being rich in self-acceptance, in my book.
Thanks for your thoughts, whale!

anonymity can be a
useful cloak
or it can leave us
naked
but they won't see
us coming...

Naked anonymity... I like the idea of that paradox.
Many thanks for your thoughts, Paul!
