Image for the poem The Morning Never Came

The Morning Never Came

As life turns to death
And hope turns to Hell
I have been forgotten
As I hoped that the morning never came

My rope has been tied
My fate has been sealed
Broken and forlorn I await this night
For the morning will never come

No others shall be pained
By my overdue suicide

I set out this night
Surrounded by the bitter cold
It’s better than the burning pain I suffer
The thirteen winds shall end this soon

As my lungs give way
from my strangulation
I feel the burden rise from my shoulders
And the morning never came
