The Knight and Shining Armour That Never Came
He was the knight and shining armor that never came,
The sun to my moon, the wind with the rain.
He took everything from me,
I gave it all away,
And I; nothing to gain.
I thought I was in love,
That If i tried hard enough, We'd be okay.
But sugar isn't always sweet on another one's tongue,
And love isn't always actually love.
He was my knight and shining armor who never came,
He left me alone, and watched me whither away.
I knew we wouldn't last, because love is like that,
It takes from you, and gives you nothing to gain.
