Paralyzed
No one can feel what I am
inside of my paralyzed smile.
Call me a name I smile
Tell me you love me I smile
Tell me you hate me yes I smile
Bring me to the finest Restuarnt
Wine and dine me like the princess that I am
I'll smile for you
Bring me to my grandmothers grave
I will smile
I'm stuck with this smile
This paralyzed emotion stuck on my face
Just so no one can see into the
Paralyzed state my heart is in
It works, but fixes nothing
Erases nothing
Makes nothing better
But you really wouldn't know now would you??
inside of my paralyzed smile.
Call me a name I smile
Tell me you love me I smile
Tell me you hate me yes I smile
Bring me to the finest Restuarnt
Wine and dine me like the princess that I am
I'll smile for you
Bring me to my grandmothers grave
I will smile
I'm stuck with this smile
This paralyzed emotion stuck on my face
Just so no one can see into the
Paralyzed state my heart is in
It works, but fixes nothing
Erases nothing
Makes nothing better
But you really wouldn't know now would you??

I might not feel it like you do but I get it
I feel that way sometimes it makes me feel like I'm lying to myself. Which indeed I actually am.

Gg, this is something we all go through-more than you know-well perhaps you do know. Our fight or flight response-the lie we keep in order to survive. That pseudo-battle skirt we wear to keep the world from eating us all alive. I like this particularly because I can surely relate to this in my own life. And when alone, I cry sobbingly to renew my strength. To be able to step back out and put that face, that smile on once again.
Wonderful read !

A smile has become a reaction for me. A defense mechanism. This is going on my reading list. I like it alot

:)
I like it. The paralyzed smile symbolizes more it seems like. Almost like a mask that you can't take off.
