Dead Reckoning

The west is done
Like knocking on fallen doors
You should have seen them telephones
I saw near Minnesota

I'm like an old relic
Too slow to keep up anymore
World's already a mile down the road
It's not waiting on me

Dead I reckon
Nothing else to want
Killed for the wrong reasons

I'll tell you
Blood don't forget
Comes around in the end

Billy is running wild
Said he saw all of this coming
I suppose opium really does drive a man
To bleed from insanity

He's going to affliction
About a two day's ride from here
Going up those old iron hills
He's like you and me

Dead I reckon
Nothing else to want
Killed for the wrong reasons

I'll tell you
Blood don't forget
Comes around in the end

I won't intervene
But you should come with me
The government won't find us overseas
Might be a wonderful life

We're the last john
Outlaws have no place in their world
They are herding us like cattle
Right to the slaughter

Dead I reckon
Nothing else to want
Killed for the wrong reasons

I'll tell you
Blood don't forget
Comes around in the end

If this is goodbye, I wish you well
