Sins of The Father

You helped conceive me
This might be true
But as long as I live
I'll never become like you

I'm not going to keep drinking
To drown my depression
I won't use my wife and children
To exert my aggression

You can't control your life
So you take it out on me
I guess it's true what they say
Misery loves company

You can cuss me out and yell
Until you're blue in the face
Insult me all you want
But you're the disgrace

Do you feel like a man
Slapping a kid around
Does it stroke your ego
Throwing your wife to the ground

With all my anger
And all my hate
You're damn lucky
I don't seal your fate

Deal with yourself
And wallow in sorrow
There's no telling what will happen
Come tomorrow

So enjoy your power-trip
It won't last much longer
Each day you get weaker
While I'm getting stronger

Right now, in my eyes
You're a pathetic @$$hø£ę
But I'll have to eventually forgive you
To completely break your control
