A new enemy has risen
Taking the place of He who I have fled
Same anger and spite
But different expectations and thoughts
My growing desperation fills my mind
My body shakes
My hands quake
And tears fill my eyes.
And still she talks
Words of tyranny and pomp
As I huddle in a ball
Hoping she will stop and leave.
Click clack of shoes
Pierce my shattered mind
Come and go, back and forth
Still she goes on and on
Never caring
Not noticing
Ever ignorant of my pain and strife.
Finally departed
I fall into a pile of tears
Stomach grumbles...
Banana chips for breakfast
The battle spurred by hunger
Now I end this sorrowed tale
Of pains new and old.
Taking the place of He who I have fled
Same anger and spite
But different expectations and thoughts
My growing desperation fills my mind
My body shakes
My hands quake
And tears fill my eyes.
And still she talks
Words of tyranny and pomp
As I huddle in a ball
Hoping she will stop and leave.
Click clack of shoes
Pierce my shattered mind
Come and go, back and forth
Still she goes on and on
Never caring
Not noticing
Ever ignorant of my pain and strife.
Finally departed
I fall into a pile of tears
Stomach grumbles...
Banana chips for breakfast
The battle spurred by hunger
Now I end this sorrowed tale
Of pains new and old.
