Image for the poem Thirst

Thirst

Out of desert dune with foxy glint, following thirst, too early to keep it down,

rising with the corn fed fields, morning dew smiling, summoning a failing god

on worshipping branches, languid on the rivers dry bed, telling their tall tales,

whispers the breeze, picked up about the rains that once were fortold.
