Faded
Treasured your closeness for so long
Now that you’re gone
It feels like having been robbed
In bright daylight.
How much do I long
For the heated nights we’ve been
spending next to each other.
Now that the blanket of love has worn thin
Faded is the fervor, stone-cold as my skin.
Now that you’re gone
It feels like having been robbed
In bright daylight.
How much do I long
For the heated nights we’ve been
spending next to each other.
Now that the blanket of love has worn thin
Faded is the fervor, stone-cold as my skin.

robbed in bright daylight,
yes, that captures the
shock of a sudden loss
really well...to be left cold
in the sun...

Robbed of everything that's precious to you leaves you dead cold.
As to the sun, she's set.
And I'm upset ...

Yeah. Faded fervor. I've heard about that. Trying to keep it at arms length, miss.

Fay, you said it perfectly and better than I could do. Perhaps you should turn your own words into a poem!
Thank you for the warm comment!

I love the next to last line most, imagining love as a blanket :-). Thanks a lot, Brinda!

My dearest Poe, thank you always for giving me emotional support and lending me both of your shoulders (muah). No, no particular form this time. Had to ink it as unpolished as it emanated from my poetic mind :-). Thank you for the RL entry, I'm so honored! Well, that was kind of formal since we always try to answer eloquently. Deep from my heart I'd say: Love you and your mental hugs!

the pain eventually fades...
the joy too, perhaps...
even the memories fade...
Is there no constancy?

Yes, there is! As everything is in motion the only constancy we can count on is inconstancy. Like the seasons our lives will be constantly renovated. How releaving ... Love your insightful comments!

Left me feeling sad and barren
Dont like anyone fucking with you this way ...

So grateful for your reassuring and soothing words, Speak! Neither do I like being fucked with this way! But I saw it coming AND it was necessary for perhaps) not so obvious reasons. Still sad, yes.

Painful truth in each syllable ... this ink of yours is rattling in my chambers
