Birthplace
Into the shadows of sorrow and despair I was born
Baptized through the stinging fire of abuse and neglect,
My only companion loneliness at my side
Steered me into the darkness
Away from the judging stares and
Stabbing jabs of my captors,
My family,
My loved ones
To suffer indignities
Where no one could hear me cry
For the help that never came

Oh wow :( so much emotion. Depressing. I am sorry. At least writing is a good outlet.

We all have deep seeded feelings that we have to work through and this is how I do it. Poor mans therapy. Glad you liked it.

You've must of had a hard life growing up for such powerful words of sorrow to fill in this write.
I can relate to what you were sayin in this and understand that sometimes even though when we wish to pick our own fate it's only decided for us whether or not we will soon be happy, but it's up to us to make each day count and make that little happiness even though at the start it seemed like we've never had it

Yes unfortunately I did but that's over now and I've moved on. No more self pity or self abuse. I stopped living in the past because if you don't it ruins everything else. I'm sorry you can relate to this and I hope you don't take the road I did trying to get over it. Thank you for reading Ms Jackson.

Your welcome and I try my best everyday to not dwell on the past and not let it get to me.
I've been through depression at young age, had parents that seemed like they'd never stop fighting and the rest I don't want to get into right now.
And yeah it takes a little happiness and thankfulness at a time in order to stop the cycle.
