Expectations

Everyone expects something from you
Whether it's friendship
Sex
Greatness
Brilliance
Or anything else
You are supposed to measure up to something
Some people take those expectations and exceed them
Gaining respect and admiration from others
Then some people crumble under the pressure
Saying "fuck this"
Going on their own path
Being the person they want to be
Not caring about others' opinions of them
Then there are the people who just stand there
Looking from side to side
Wondering what to do
Not wanting to be the person everyone wants them to be
But not sure of the person they want to be
In order to be who they want they must be free
Which is a luxury most of them don't have
