Born of Treachery and Flame

The skies raged above lowly heads
Across the realms the ravens fled
With news for the god of the north
The waters crashed in icy depths
On nervous tongues rumors beget
That the deceiver heralds forth

From the lands of the giant’s wild
Spits forth a birth of such vile
The deceiver rises on shores
Blasphemy with every breath
Standing stinking of rot and death
The deceiver written in lore

Rise above troubled waters
With great voices, heralds sing
Of Hel’s monsters, he is father
Born of treachery and flame
In a world of war bound gods
Yggdrasil shakes in his way
Loki rises from the mud
Born of treachery and flame

All-Father, you can trust
My words, poisoned with rust
I will speak the truth
When lies fail to shake the roots
I am divided
In eternity

Consorting to father fell beasts
As churning waters tremble seats
Reserved for the highest of lords
Monuments topple in his wake
As serpents rise from frozen lakes
Fjords writhe as tricksters trick the world

Rise above troubled waters
With great voices, heralds sing
Of Hel’s monsters, he is father
Born of treachery and flame
In a world of war bound gods
Yggdrasil shakes in his way
Loki rises from the mud
Born of treachery and flame

Thunder crash as lightning strikes
Devour all in the name
Of Loki, great deceiver
Born of treachery and flame
