Habit to Forget
Petty words and skewed views
Coloring your stories, and polishing your lies
Caught In your web, another fly
Enjoying the way it all sounds
Rolling so easily from your mouth
Lover, Cheater, Abuser of Trust
Secrets bared then shared to all..
From Heavenly heights to pits of Hell
You want to possess, but place me in jail
You can’t have both so I’m done with you
May have been blinded but now I see
It was always about you, never me..
You make a habit of “Ghosting Out”
You’re pitiful, sad, and incapable of regret
You make you, a Habit to forget.
Coloring your stories, and polishing your lies
Caught In your web, another fly
Enjoying the way it all sounds
Rolling so easily from your mouth
Lover, Cheater, Abuser of Trust
Secrets bared then shared to all..
From Heavenly heights to pits of Hell
You want to possess, but place me in jail
You can’t have both so I’m done with you
May have been blinded but now I see
It was always about you, never me..
You make a habit of “Ghosting Out”
You’re pitiful, sad, and incapable of regret
You make you, a Habit to forget.

I once told a friend of mine....."never throw a poem away or be shy of what you post, cause you never know the soul that you might touch, the one who needs to read your words". :)

When reading this poem the first word that came to mind was ironic lol reminds me of a mirror with the words of the speaker reflecting the person its talking about.

Wow, this hit a little too close to home... it's hopeful to forget the habit, but damn.... it always sticks its head when you let your guard down.
