"Looking Through The Glass"

I used to sit in a box of clouded glass. People always surrounding me, happy they were.. but not me.
You used to stand outside the glass, watching. People ignoring you, cruel were they.. but not you.

I collasped inside that same group that seemed to hate you, crimson stainging my wrists, unknowing you knew how it felt.
You fell to floor knowing what was happening, but so unable to do anything about this tradegy, so you cried for some one you didn't know.

We didn't know eachother, but we glanced at eachother from time to time wondering what it would be like to be friends, going against the rules of my crowd.

I bashed the thick cloudy glass screaming "let me out" no one heard me, but you did.
You screamed "hear me" everyone heard but no one cared, I did.

I flung my body around to the girl in the back with her head always down in a journal. "Do you have any scissors?" You said no, yet I continued to pester you until I knew everything about you in that one moment.
You were shocked that I actualy would talk to you with the crowd I didn't even really belong in. Maybe it was just a dream, it would never happen to you, friendship that is.

Time passed until we met again.

I stared down at this little invitation to the movies, scared inside, maybe it was a trap, why would she talk to me?
You smiled, thinning the cloudy glass.

A thousand miles went by and by now the glass is gone, shattered on the floor. I could never put you int he past, you are my everything and you always will be. I wanna hold you and take everything that hurts you away. Our friendship is what brought me through the darkness of my history. That cut up angel that should have everyone's respect yet walks so low below the crowd. You are mine and I don't care how that sounds because no one will ever understand the fact that I love you, I love you the way friends do and we are sisters. Every broken moment together mends with the hugs and tears.

You are the twist in my story Anne-Marie Elizabeth Burgess. I love you, and I'll fight to ends of the earth to make you happy in life.
