Time for Mourning
There is always time for mourning
when night and day become one
long space of silence in a vacuum
where nothing penetrates
just dull drops of tears
flowing from tired eyes
always that bleak cold feeling
will permeate through the body
empty cos the soul is missing
heart is curled up within in pain
no alphabets spells pleasure
just an end to all desires
yet time will heal all hurts
its like a potion, dripping of salves
and caresses on open wounds
one day the bleak cold day
will start to feel a little warmer
pain becomes a lot more duller
as the rain falls on red earth
coaxing grasses and flowers
to thrive and grow
life as was will be a memory
lived through sepia photographs
and rose tinted remembrances
Take heart in that
She loved you best
When you smile
Into her eyes.
