Oh, Only If We Knew
She looks at year notch scars
Upon her wrist
She hopes her neck will quit
Give up and twist
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
The street corner’s her home
Her life’s refrain
And four good padded walls
For the insane
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
The world twists round her feet
She’s still alone
The two-faced feeling sinks
Below her bones
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
But all the men she meets
Potential loves
A gift from down below
Curse from above
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
And every night, it seems
To be her last
It all played out so slow
And yet so fast
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
And every night, it is
For sure my last
She passed by me so slow
And yet so fast
Oh, only if I knew
Oh, only if I knew
Upon her wrist
She hopes her neck will quit
Give up and twist
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
The street corner’s her home
Her life’s refrain
And four good padded walls
For the insane
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
The world twists round her feet
She’s still alone
The two-faced feeling sinks
Below her bones
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
But all the men she meets
Potential loves
A gift from down below
Curse from above
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
And every night, it seems
To be her last
It all played out so slow
And yet so fast
Oh, only if she knew
Oh, only if she knew
And every night, it is
For sure my last
She passed by me so slow
And yet so fast
Oh, only if I knew
Oh, only if I knew
