Scarred
Inking out wickedness
blocking the beauty
that lies deep within
sunlit cobble stone
lane that leads
to my soul
follow the path
and you will see me
a little girl of three
broken and in a rage
splintered, torn asunder
tapping out a sos
with the silent hush
of an angels breath
I cry tears of pain
left behind by a sick mamma
holding tight to the wounds
I became a twisted woman
heroin became my savior
the streets home
in the arms of strangers
I found relief
psych. wards were
the end to this
dark road
talking to walls
demons and angels alike
whispering to me
giving me visions
behind the veil
seeing heaven
visiting hell
still in all this lies a gem
that shines bright
if I would remove
the moon that blots out the sun
let my vulnerability shine
instead of embracing the dark
that shrouds and covers
my naked being
see my demons have force
make me strong of will
under the layers
lies a scarred little girl
blocking the beauty
that lies deep within
sunlit cobble stone
lane that leads
to my soul
follow the path
and you will see me
a little girl of three
broken and in a rage
splintered, torn asunder
tapping out a sos
with the silent hush
of an angels breath
I cry tears of pain
left behind by a sick mamma

Once again you think yourself weak, but you show yourself strong by your words. Everyone is scared of seeing who they really are. It's when we look inside our selfs and we change what we see is where our strength is. You have that strength with in you. Just look and see. Sending luv, hugs and smiles your way. Xo :)

A very honest and
revealing, stark
write full of anger
and also hope.
Revealing of a strength
and fight still within

Much strength and peace

Top of the line writing from a girl who has hit rock bottom. So honest, track marks become scars, Then we no longer bleed. No shame, in this life only the strong survive! Keep on pushing forward, shine, lady, shine!

Lovely Crim, you ...
Scarred? Yes. All are, in some form. *raising my hand*
Weak? Absolutely not!
Honest? Yes.
Unveiling? You bet.
Strong? Hell yeah!
Life is: Choices
It is what we choose to make it.
I constantly remind myself of this simple truth.
Our choices = Our reality
......
Incredibly, brutally, beautifully honest!
Wonderfully written!

Re: Scarred
I saw every piece of that imagery perfectly... Absolutely gritty in the most honest of ways. That makes it beautiful..
left behind by a sick mamma
holding tight to the wounds
I became a twisted woman
heroin became my savior
the streets home
in the arms of strangers
I found relief
Yeah, I know this. Although the drug of choice is different. I love this whole poem.

Re: Scarred
manifestation of circumstance
seedling of tainted soil
raised in the shadows
wilted flower that never bloomed
rooted into clean ground
the need to be dirty still lingers
the light judges my shadows
the very shadow the light looms
You are beautiful just the way you are. The very notion to ask you to change would sicken me. Forgiving yourself for ever thinking that it may have ever been your fault would be a good start. Because one side of you sure hates seeing the other, which ironically makes you whole.
Never endless flow of Crimson ink will always quench thy thirst.

The battle rages inside, the age old fight of good and evil. Conscience clawing at the walls of sanity. The wise woman, holds the little girls hand and tells her everything will be okay. The sun penetrates the core of darkness, scorching it into helpless ashes. It rises to smile on her, over and over again, soothing the scars.
This really does strike deep, Crim* Nicely penned emotions :)
