I like this because each stanza works independently of the other - yet the connection between the three is sublime ... For me the back door, back seat  and front row reference alludes to a great stage where the show of life takes place   ... move to the front - stand & applaud ... Laugh - cry ... It's life enjoy it.

Thank you so much, LSP! That's exactly the development I've just mentioned in my response to Speak's comment. This poem is based on a dream I had: Being abusively imprisoned as a child, freeing myself from it by seeking and receiving help, coming back to the location of imprisonment with my back straight, head high, and the awareness of my own beauty, so long negated by those who should have loved and protected me. That was freeing! Insofar, you perfectly got the message :-). Glad about it!

The title is a hook for readers who wonder what the 'too long' was, as your poems are not known for being over-long.  Now I know.

Hahaha! That's cute to say the title intrigued you since my poems do not tend to be over-long :-). But this one at least consists of THREE stanzas! Could that indicate the beginning of logorrea? Beware of words!
