The Infinite Horizon
Wander on the infinite horizon, if you can.
Take a walk and wonder what you could have.
Your feet step by step lead a trail.
Do you often find yourself walking ever.
Do you often find yourself memories in backwards.
Moon and sun, then sun to moon and weary feet go on.
All at the pace of a turtle you walk.
Never realizing that to speed up only means to reach out to the burning sun sooner.
But to slow down means to eventually stop and age.
What about the moments between, oh yes the moments during.
The road is far less troublesome with a guide.
The road is far less lonely with a lover.
The road is enjoyable with a spouse.
Every way must be wandered.
Life lives and dies as you move along.
Every stumble is a scar to be recounted.
Every fall is a near death.
No wandering ever, truly, ends,
It is cut away sharply.
But then a new person wanders along to take their place,
Seeking the infinite horizon.
