Here's to the Ups & Downs
Bags under bloodshot eyes
Tearstained cheek and pillow
Here's to all the sleepless nights
And looking forward to tomorrow
Indignant and temperamental flare ups
Torturous imaginations very much alive
Here's to the laughing moments after those
Drying stinging tears from our weary eyes
Bipolar emotions and misunderstandings
Idiotic fights over almost nothing at all
Here's to the vise-grip hugs holding on
To each other, hearts wide open and raw
All the fuck-ups and every crushing pain
Wounded soul and tentative forgiveness
Here's to a slow healing heart
And re-learning happiness
(Inspired by Halestorm's song "Here's To Us",
along with some personal experiences)

Well, raise your glass, full of all the accommodations the struggling writer needs for his life (alcohol and more spirits). But I'm serious, this was a real inspiration, a statement piece. The insomniac urge of "Bags under bloodshot eyes-Tearstained cheek and pillow", and we cannot forget the bipolar rise and demise. Oh, wait, I get it now! I get it! Its an ode to heartbreak. :).
