TO BE A MUSE
The falling raindrop
knows not the purpose
of its plummet to earth
the lives that it saves
its role in new growth
by the force and order
of nature it is guided
Likewise the muse
knows not why
she is chosen
the artist to inspire
reasons much deeper
than beauty
or sensual appeal
a mystic connection
generated in the cosmos
is the source
of her election

I am elated that you chose to read. This piece. I feel very strongly about the idea of the muse. I am inspired generally by women but their are certain ladies, I believe chosen for me and when I think on them my words flow onto the page.
